Automation
CRM and automation: what to build in the first 90 days
A sequenced plan for going from spreadsheets and inboxes to an automated pipeline without stalling the sales team.

Days 1–30: capture everything, change little
The first goal is a single source of truth. Every enquiry from every channel — forms, calls, WhatsApp, email, walk-ins — lands in one pipeline with consistent fields and a named owner. Resist redesigning the sales process at this stage.
Days 31–60: automate the mechanical work
Acknowledgement messages, assignment rules, reminder tasks, qualification questions and stale-lead nudges are all deterministic. Automating them buys immediate credibility with the sales team because it removes work rather than adding admin.
Days 61–90: qualify with AI, review with humans
Once data is clean, AI can enrich, summarise and pre-qualify enquiries and draft follow-ups. Keep a human review gate on anything customer-facing until quality is proven, then loosen it selectively.
Finish by connecting closed-won revenue back to source so acquisition decisions are made on profit, not lead count.
